to get to New York Naturals (center of North Flatbush
Shopping District)
By Subway:
Take the 2/3 to the Bergen stop. That lets you out right
next to the unofficial headquarters for the area: New
York Naturals at 253 Flatbush Avenue. Stop in there to
ask for directions or to say hello, and then stop next
door for the wonderful Petit Fleur (House & Garden
NYC Best New Florist) and Castor & Pollux (high fashion
boutique featured in Time Out New York). Directly across
the street are two of Brookyn's best restaurants: Bistro
Saint Marks and Sugarcane.
Or:
Take the 4 to Atlantic and walk two blocks up Flatbush
to Bergen, or take the 4 and transfer at Nevins for the
2/3 to Bergen.
Or:
Take the Q train to 7th Ave. Right across the street
from the subway stop is redberi, and on the same block
are Nouveau Decor, Hooti Couture, and Khali Marcello Gifts.
Walk down Flatbush Ave for more interesting sites and
shops.
By Car:
Take the Brooklyn or Manhattan Bridges to Flatbush Ave
and drive straight up Flatbush to 5th or 6th Avenue. Depending
on the day and time, it may be easy to find street parking.
If you prefer garage parking, turn left on Pacific Ave
before you get to 5th Ave. Three blocks down on the right
you'll find a large parking garage. The garage is 2 short
blocks away from Flatbush Avenue.
